The ace Bollywood actor, Shahid Kapoor, who has become a big name in the industry today, was first offered Sharman Joshi’s role in the film ‘Style’. But Shahid refused to star in it.
Preity Zinta was Shekhar Kapur’s first choice for the film, ‘Tara Rum Pum Pum’ opposite co-star Hrithik Roshan. Preity even gave the auditions of the film. However, things didn’t fall in place and the actress later debuted with ‘Dil Se’.
PeeCee was first offered the lead role in Abbas-Mustan’s romantic thriller ‘Humraaz’ to make her debut in the industry. However, due to some issues with the production team, the actress dropped the film. The actress later debuted as the second female lead opposite Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta in Anil Sharma’s The Hero: Love Story of a Spy.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
The Bollywood queen, Aishwarya Rai was first approached to play Karishma Kapoor’s role in the film ‘Raja Hindustani’. But the actress did not accept the film and later debuted with ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’ opposite to Akshay Khanna.
The popular television diva, Ankita Lokhande was offered the film ‘Happy New Year’ to make her debut. But the actress refused it. She will soon make her debut in the film ‘ Manikarnika’ with Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut.
Saif Ali Khan
The Pataudi Prince, Saif Ali Khan was to make her debut with the film, ‘Bekhudi’. But the actor was kicked out of it post the first shooting schedule of the film for his unprofessional attitude. The actor later made his Bollywood debut with the film, ‘Parampara’.
Shakti Kapoor’s darling daughter, Shraddha Kapoor was first approached to star in the film ‘Lucky’ opposite Salman Khan. However, the actress refused the proposal as she wanted to concentrate on her studies and college at that time. The actress later debuted with film, ‘Teen Patti’.
The Bengali beauty, Bipasha Basu was first roped in for the lead role in the film ‘Himalaya Putra’ by Vinod Khanna. But the actress turned it down after realising that she was too young for the role. The actress later debuted with ‘Ajnabee’ in 2001.
The fashionista of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor made her debut with J. P. Dutta’s war drama Refugee alongside Abhishek Bachchan. The actress was supposed to make her debut with Rakesh Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’. But the actress refused the offer as she felt that she will not benefit out of it as more prominence was given to the director’s son in the film.
Sidharth Malhotra was first supposed to make his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Fashion’ against Priyanka Chopra. But things didn’t fall in place and the actor had to wait till Karan Johar’s Student of The Year for his acting debut.
