1. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

She dropped out of college to pursue modelling and entered the world of Bollywood after winning the Miss World Pageant in 1994 and now she is a world-renowned actress. She has established herself as a superstar not just in Bollywood, but in Hollywood too.

2. Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar aka Rajiv Bhatia is a son of an army officer. Before he came to Mumbai to become an actor, he worked as chef and as a waiter. Through a few modelling assignments, he became the action hero of Bollywood with the name Akshay Kumar and made his debut with a small role in Mahesh Bhatt’s Aaj in 1987.

3. Priyanka Chopra

With an army family’s background, she wanted to become a software engineer or a criminal psychologist but her luck completely changed when her mother signed her up for Femina Miss India Content. She won the contest which opened the doors of Bollywood for her. She is not just a sensation of Bollywood but across the globe too.

4. Nawazzudin Siddiqui

From being a watchman to getting a standing ovation at Cannes, his journey is a remarkable one. He even worked in a chemist before entering in Bollywood. The first movie he acted in was Bindiya Maange Bandook, a film that never really came into light. He made his presence felt in Black Friday & Patang and won critical acclaims for his performances in these movies.

5. Deepika Padukone

Before she stepped into modelling, she went to playing badminton at national level. She was featured in ads and then she landed a music video with Himesh Reshamiya. She won a million hearts with her performance in her debut movie Om Shanti Om opposite SRK and the rest is just history.

6. Shahrukh Khan

He is not just one of the best actors in town, but also an inspiration to many. He first acted in the TV Show Fauji and made his Bollywood début with Deewana in 1992 and within the next three years, with movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge. He earned the title of King Khan.

7. Kangana Ranaut

From being a small-town girl to one of the highest paid actresses in the industry, there is no doubt that Kangana has come a long way. Her first movie was Anurag Basu’s Gangster and now she has established herself as one of the most influential celebrities in India.

8. Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh has taken acting classes and worked with Shaad Ali on his ad films. Shaad’s casting agent sent Ranveer’s pictures to Aditya Chopra and eventually he got the role in Band Baja Baaraat and there is no looking back forth that.

9. Anushka Sharma

She hails from a small town of Ayodhya. She came to Mumbai to pursue modelling and then she was picked by fashion designer Wendell Rodricks as a model for Lakme Fashion Week in 2007. She made her acting debut with Rab ne Bana Di Jodi in which she was casted opposite SRK and now she is one of the top actresses of Indian Cinema.

10. Randeep Hooda

Once Upon A Time In Mumbai made him what he is today! His debut film was Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding. He moved to Australia to pursue Bachelors in Marketing and then switched to modelling and did theatre. Talent, looks and style – he has got it all.
