The actress shared that she is scheduled for a FAPI scan in the first week of November. For those unfamiliar, a FAPI scan is a specialized scan that helps detect cancer cells in the body, much like a CT scan, but with more accuracy when it comes to identifying cancerous areas. This scan is an essential part of monitoring the progression of the disease and ensuring that the cancer hasn’t spread.

Despite the challenges, Dipika expressed hope and gratitude during the podcast. “Alhamdulillah, the best part is that, in my case, the cancer was confined to the tumor,” she said. She explained that, during her last FAPI scan, no cancer cells were found elsewhere in her body. To treat the tumor, approximately 22% of her liver, including an 11-centimeter tumor, was surgically removed.

Since the surgery, Dipika has been on a regular monitoring plan, which includes blood tests and tumor marker tests. So far, all the results have been normal, offering a sense of relief and optimism for her future. However, despite the positive updates, the road to recovery is ongoing. Dipika is currently undergoing oral targeted therapy, a treatment similar to chemotherapy, which will continue for the next two years. This treatment helps to ensure the disease doesn’t return, and regular scans are necessary to monitor her condition.
