The newest mom in the B-town, actress Sonam Kapoor is making headlines for every minutest of the details regarding her newborn baby. Now, after a week of giving birth to a baby boy, Sonam has shared the first visuals of herself as a mother.
In the recently shared video on her Instagram handle, Sonam can be seen flaunting her postpartum belly. In the clip, the Khoobsurat actress shoots herself in the mirror of her Mumbai residence. Dressed in her Nike maternity clothes- a baggy jacket over her black outfit, Sonam rolls the camera to capture her postpartum belly. She lifts her jacket up as she says, “Tummy’s not completely in yet but looks great.”
Let us tell you that Sonam and her husband Anand Ahuja welcomed their first kid, a baby boy on August 20. The proud parents announced the birth of their child through an Instagram post that featured a peculiar art piece. Later, Sonam also posted the meaning and idea behind the piece that had Deer and Eagle.
In her social media post, Sonam wrote, For this momentous occasion in our life @anandahuja and I wanted @rithikamerchant to create a special art piece to announce the birth of our baby boy. And we couldn’t be more ecstatic with it. In this Art piece, Rithika refers to the universal concepts of a union between the Sky Father and the gentle, attentive and watchful Earth Mother, represented here by the Eagle and the Deer respectively.”
She further added, “Eagles or hawks are associated with fatherhood and otherworldly creation (the overarching concept of the Dyeus Pita/Sky Father). Deer are associated with motherhood. They are gentle, attentive and watchful creatures. They are always on guard and can move, adapt, and survive even in the most challenging conditions.”
While Sonam and Anand are yet to reveal their baby’s face and name to the public, it is being speculated that the child’s name will begin with the letter ‘K’. The speculations about the same began when Sonam shared pictures of customized baby blankets and clothes she received that had ‘Baby K Ahuja’ written on it.
On the work front, Sonam will be next seen in Shome Makhija’s directorial crime thriller titled Blind.
