The love between the Haasan sisters is quite evident on social media. They keep sharing goofy pictures. In a recent interview, Shruti Haasan revealed some interesting details about her relationship with younger sister, Akshara.

Calling her sibling a ‘silent fighter,’ Shruti said that Akshara is quite protective of her and if anybody says something bad about her, she  makes sure to teach that person a lesson in her own way. “Akshara would beat up people for me. I was more like a verbal assault and she is more violent. Somebody called me the ‘B’ word once, and next thing I hear is this man screaming, and Akshara hitting him from behind and saying, ‘How dare you call my Akka that?’ I had to tell her to stop hitting him,” stated Shruti.

Further in the conversation, the daughter of legendary actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika talked about her beau, Santanu Hazarika, with whom, she has been in a relationship for a while now. She quoted, “I have found the most amazing thing with him, is that I have stopped fighting. I stopped having to prove. He wasn’t questioning, because being an equal wasn’t even a discussion. It is natural to him and that is why this relationship means so much to me. He’s not like ‘I’m not a feminist, I support my woman’, he’s like what other way is there to be?”

The Luck actress shared alarming things about male-dominated film industry. She said that on an ad-shoot recently, someone asked her about marriage plans. “That’s the red flag. Somebody on an ad shoot told me, ‘You should get married, you are in your 30s.’ Someone in my own line of industry, who represents me. He’s going to make a commission off the money I am providing. It’s just so instinctively ingrained in them,” she said.

Professionally, Shruti Haasan is coming up next with Salaar opposite Prabhas and Mega 154 with Chiranjeevi.
