‘Stammering Did Lot Of Damage’: Sharad Kelkar Gets Emotional Remembering His Struggling Days!

TV-turned Bollywood actor and voice artist Sharad Kelkar has been showcasing his acting skills in the industry for the past two decades. From acting to dubbing, he has made a name for himself in both the arenas with his hard work. After doing remarkable work on TV, Sharad is now more focused on OTT and film projects. Recently, the actor revealed that he had to face a lot of struggles in the beginning of his career and told that he used to get angry because of his stammering problem.

Sharad remembered the days of struggle

In a recent interview, Sharad recalled his earlier days in the acting industry and told that the financial crunch had troubled him a lot. He said, ‘When I came to Mumbai, I used to stammer at that time. I didn’t even know how to act. There was a lot of trouble. I neither had money nor a house to live. From that time, I learned that I have to keep working hard till I get work.’

Troubled by the habit of stuttering

Sharad further shared that it was in 2003-04, when he got an acting break with the show ‘Sindoor Tere Naam Ka. After that, he appeared as lead in hit show ‘Saat Phere’. The show made him a household name in no time. But Sharad was still battling his stammering problem and he was unable to figure out how to fix it.

At the same time, Sharad had decided not to do TV as he just wanted to do films. Sharad and his wife Keerti Kelkar had also planned the child and his wife was not working. Money was tight like that. The actor also revealed that he had a lot of anger issues 12 years ago. Because of this, he also got 150 stitches because he hit the glass hard once.

Will land voice to Prabhas’ character Ram in ‘Adipurush’

Sharad has done tremendous job of dubbing in Prabhas’ ‘Baahubali’. He is now gearing up to land his voice to Prabhas’ character Lord Ram in ‘Adipurush’.
