Chris Hemsworth, the beloved Australian actor and Extraction star who plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), recently expressed reservations about reprising his role as the God of Thunder.

Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hinted at a disappointing update for his fans in his latest interview while promoting his upcoming Extraction 2.

Hemsworth is a fan favourite and has all four solo Thor films in addition to several appearances in different Avengers films.

The actor is unsure whether he will reprise his Marvel superhero role, but he would love to incorporate stunts from his upcoming film into an MCU film.

Hemsworth’s future with the MCU is unknown as the MCU explores more deeply towards the Multiverse Saga while emphasising on the next generations of the Avengers.

whereas famous Phase-One characters like Steve Rogers and Tony Stark have since passed on their legacy to new heroes, Thor is one of the last of the original Avengers to alive.

The last installment of Chris’ MCU film starred Christian Bale as the antagonist Gorr the God butcher, but the film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.

It saw the return of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster as the female Thor, and it may have been the Studio’s low point, leading to casting doubts in the actor’s mind.

Chris Hemsworth Shares A Latest Update On His Reprising His Role As Thor

In a recent interview with Total Film Magazine, Chris Hemsworth discussed the stunts he performed for the film.

While doing so, he alluded to the disappointing news that he might not reprise his role as Thor in the MCU.

It was his film that introduced the Avengers to their first villain, Loki played by Tom Hiddleston, who is so beloved by fans that he has his own web series.

Thor, aka Chris Hemsworth, from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, stated, “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” I’m not making this up.

You’re sucking air like you’ve never sucked before at the end of a take, and everyone drops to their knees. But it’s far more rewarding. If I ever get another chance, I’d love to incorporate this style into a Marvel film.”

Chris Hemsworth has not stated whether or not he will continue to play Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Hemsworth was most recently seen in Thor: Love and Thunder. Taika Waititi directed the stylized MCU film. However, it drew mixed reactions.

Thor star Chris Hemsworth’s recent disclosure that he is at an increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease may influence his decision to take on fewer projects, including future Thor films, as he prioritises his health.

The future is unknown until Marvel Studios or Hemsworth provide additional information.

Fans are hoping that Hemsworth will find an acceptable conclusion for his character, giving Thor’s journey to a fulfilling conclusion, even if it isn’t going to happen in Thor 5.
