Aamir Khan Confirms Wedding With Gauri Spratt On July 5, Says Marriage Reports Are True After Two Years of Dating

Bollywood star Aamir Khan is set to begin a new chapter in his personal life. The actor has confirmed that he will marry his longtime partner Gauri Spratt on July 5, putting an end to days of speculation surrounding their relationship and wedding plans. According to multiple reports, the couple will tie the knot in an intimate ceremony attended by close family members and friends.

News of the wedding first surfaced earlier this week when reports claimed that Aamir and Gauri had finalised plans for a private ceremony. While initial reports were based on sources close to the couple, fresh updates indicate that the actor has now acknowledged that the wedding reports are accurate.

The wedding is expected to be a low-key affair, reflecting the couple’s preference for privacy. Unlike many celebrity weddings that involve large-scale celebrations and media coverage, Aamir and Gauri are reportedly planning to keep the event limited to their inner circle.

The relationship between Aamir and Gauri first became public in March 2025 when the actor introduced her to the media during celebrations for his 60th birthday. At the time, Aamir surprised many by openly discussing their relationship and speaking warmly about the impact Gauri had on his life.

According to the actor, the two had known each other for many years before reconnecting later in life. Reports suggest that Aamir and Gauri were acquainted nearly 25 years ago before eventually finding their way back to each other and developing a serious relationship.

Over the past year, Aamir has spoken openly about his feelings for Gauri in several interviews. He has repeatedly described her as a calming presence who brings stability, peace and happiness into his life. On one occasion, the actor even remarked that he already felt married to her emotionally.

“In my heart, I am already married to her,” Aamir had said during an earlier interview while discussing the seriousness of their relationship. At that stage, however, he maintained that formal marriage was not necessarily a priority.

Interestingly, the wedding news marks a significant shift from comments Aamir made in the recent past. Just last year, the actor suggested that marriage might not suit him at this stage of life and indicated he was uncertain about marrying again after two previous marriages.

Aamir was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira. The couple divorced in 2002 after more than 15 years together.

He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The two welcomed their son Azad through surrogacy and announced their separation in 2021, while continuing to co-parent their child.

Despite their separation, Aamir and Kiran have maintained a cordial relationship and have frequently appeared together at public events and family functions. The actor has often credited Kiran for remaining an important part of his life even after their marriage ended.

Gauri, meanwhile, comes from Bengaluru and is known for her work in the fashion and beauty industry. She is a salon entrepreneur and has largely stayed away from the limelight despite increasing public attention since her relationship with Aamir became known.

Reports indicate that Gauri is also associated with Aamir’s production house in a professional capacity. During his 60th birthday interaction with the media, Aamir revealed that she was working with his company.

Over the past year, the couple have made a handful of public appearances together, although they have largely avoided excessive media exposure. Their approach has stood in contrast to many celebrity relationships that play out prominently on social media.

Professionally, the wedding news comes during a busy phase for Aamir. The actor recently returned to the big screen and has also spoken about ambitious future projects, including his long-discussed adaptation of the Mahabharata.

For many fans, however, the focus has shifted from cinema to the actor’s personal life. Aamir has traditionally maintained a relatively private image despite being one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, making any update about his relationships a major talking point.

If the reported plans proceed as scheduled, July 5 will mark Aamir Khan’s third marriage and the culmination of a relationship that has steadily grown stronger over the past two years. While the couple are expected to keep celebrations intimate, the wedding is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about entertainment stories of the year.
