Actress Payal Rohatgi Held For Hurling Abuses And Threat To Society Chairman
Actress Payal Rohatgi has been granted bail by the court.
Rohatgi resides with her parents at Sundarvan Epitome Society.
Actress Payal Rohatgi, who resides In Sundarvan Epitome, allegedly threatened to kill the members and break the legs of children playing there, a complaint filed by the Chairman of the Society.
Actress Payal Rohatgi was charged and arrested by the Satellite police on Friday. It happened after the chairman of Sundarvan Epitome filed a complaint against her for allegedly making derogatory comments and threatening to kill the members.
The actress, who is always surrounded by one or another controversy in the past, also allegedly threatened to break the legs of the children, who were playing in the society.

Parag Shah the chairman of the society is an ophthalmologist by profession. Mr Parag has alleged in the complaint that Payal Rohatgi had attended the Annual General Meeting of the building, though she was told that her parents were already present in the meeting, and they were enough.

According to the complaint, Actress Payal Rohatgi used obscene language and even threatened to kill the members of the society who objected to her. She also threatened to involve them in a false case.
She had then started recording the proceedings of the meeting and kept on speaking at the meeting despite being told not to do so. According to the complaint, the actress also posted obscene comments on the society’s Whatsapp group but deleted them after being reprimanded by the society members.
On June 23, Payal allegedly posted on her social media account that ‘Hamari Society ka jo chairman hain woh gundagardi karta hain’. For another society member Mr Jayesh Raval, she writes, ‘Jayesh Raval karke koi Doctor gunde ki tarah chilla raha thha ke bechara Pagal no ho Jaye meri wajah see’. The chairman further wrote in the complaint that the society was an authorised one but Payal had spread the message that it is an unauthorised society.
Mr Parag said that her threat to implicate people in false cases has terrified men, and women, children. As a result, the senior citizens were unwilling to get out of society. She also threatened to break the legs of children playing in the common plot of the society building, according to the complaint.
Anandnagar police inspector A S Roy, the In-charge of the Satellite police station said, ‘We have arrested Rohatgi for use of obscene language, provocation with the intent to shatter the public peace, criminal intimidation and under the IT Act. Her Cellphone has also been Seized for Further Investigation.’
In the meantime, the court granted her bail on the condition that she will not comment anything on social media about the ongoing controversy, and also that she will not change her residential address.
