That casting couch is a menace and exists in Bollywood is no news. There have been several cases where people from the industry spoke up about it.

Aditi Rao Hydari is one of the most gorgeous actors in Bollywood. While she still trying to find her place in Bollywood as a leading actress, Aditi has acted in several successful films in supporting roles. She was last seen in Padmaavat with Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.

Recently actress Aditi shared her bitter experience with casting couch. In an interview with the Sunday Guardian, the Padmaavat actor revealed that she was jobless for a long time. She said, “I was able to stand up to it, make my decision and move away. I did lose work and I cried about it. I didn’t regret it but I cried about it because I felt so upset that this was true and this is how girls are treated.

Aditi admitted that the decision, while it did cost her work, made her stronger. She also shared that 2013 was an especially hard year for her since she also lost her father the same year.

She further added, “…but from 2014 onwards everything kind of fell into place. Sometimes you need to see a situation, deal with it, get out and be very comfortable with it, and that’s how I felt. You need to be comfortable with the consequences and have no regrets.”
