The source added that because Yami and Aditya are both private individuals who avoid public displays of affection, no one on the set realised they were involved. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Yami Gautam shared how her love story with Aditya Dhar began. Speaking about it, she said: “I’d say the start was during the promotion of Uri: The Surgical Strike. That’s when we started talking. I wouldn’t call it dating. But yeah, that was a time when we started interacting with each other and started a friendship.”

In the same interview with Hindustan Times, Yami opened up about opting for an intimate, simple wedding rather than a typical Bollywood-style celebration. She shared that every element—from her outfit to her jewellery—held deep personal meaning for her. In her words:
“I was very sure what I’d want to wear. As a person, I’m someone who values my tradition and roots. And my family means the most to me. It was decided that I’ll be wearing my mother’s sari. I knew [I will wear] the dupatta which my nani, she has kept for me, and that pahadi nath, which she had gotten it made for me and for all my other cousins, years back. For me, this is what made me happy. I wanted to feel the warmth of our traditions.”
In 2024, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar embraced a joyful new chapter as they became parents. The couple welcomed their baby boy, Vedavid, on May 10, 2024. Since then, they have been cherishing every blissful moment with their little one.
