Yesterday, Deepika Padukone left everyone excited when she announced that she would be getting waxed at Madame Tussauds Delhi & London. On Monday, the actress shared two pictures from her trials, where she can be seen checking an artificial eye and in another picture, a face measuring equipment is held close to her face. She wrote, “It’s all about the details.” According to reports, Deepika’s London statue should be ready by early 2019, while her Delhi statue will take some more time.

Now, joining the ever-expanding galaxy of Bollywood stars in Madame Tussauds is, Shahid Kapoor. The dapper man shared a picture on social media announcing the news which will surely make his fans happy. It is yet unclear whether Shahid’s statue will be placed in the Delhi museum or London. Expressing his excitement, Shahid took to his Instagram and posted a picture of him. “Keep an eye out. Coming soon.” read his caption.

The Bollywood section of Madame Tussauds London is home to wax statues of Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Recently, Anushka Sharma also got immortalized at Madame Tussauds Singapore. Karan Johar and Diljit Dosanjh also announced recently that they will get a wax statue at Madame Tussauds.

On a related note, Deepika and Shahid were seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. The movie saw a massive box-office success earlier this year. In the film, Shahid played the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh, a proud Rajput ruler who marries Rani Padmini and is subsequently attacked and defeated in battle by Alauddin Khilji, whose character was played by Ranveer Singh.

Speaking about Shahid’s acting front, the actor will next be seen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu opposite Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam. The film has been directed by Shree Narayan Singh and deals with the issue of power theft. The movie will hit the screens on 21st September and is set to clash with Abhishek Bachchan’s Manmarziyaan.

Shahid Kapoor has also been cast in the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu film, Arjun Reddy. The film revolves around an alcoholic medical student-turned-surgeon who embarks on a journey of self-destruction.
