With over 500 crores (and counting) at the box office, Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju has done quite well at the box office. The film starring Ranbir Kapoor has got raving reviews from fans and critics, especially for Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal’s performance.  Although, there are many people who called the movie a PR stint and criticised it for not showing important aspects of Sanjay Dutt’s life. Critics said that movie is nothing but an attempt to whitewash Sanjay Dutt’s image.

One of the people who was disappointed with the way Sanjay Dutt was portrayed in Sanju is Ram Gopal Varma. In fact, he has decided to redo the movie all over again. Ram Gopal Varma, a Bollywood filmmaker, who is known for movies like the Sarkar series and disasters like his Sholay remake titled Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, is reportedly going to recreate the movie.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, RGV is planning another Sanjay biopic, which is tentatively titled as Sanju: The Real Story. The movie will focus on Dutt’s connection with the 1993 serial bombings in Mumbai and for possession of an AK-56 rifle. Something, which many people will admit, wasn’t shown in ‘Sanju’ clearly.

When the leading day contacted the director about the rumours of him making a biopic on Sanju, the director confirmed the news: “Yes, I am making the film.” Meanwhile, the sources also revealed that RGV’s film will also deeply portray the storyline of the people who threatened Sanju’s father Sunil Dutt and his family, the people who delivered the arms and ammunition to him and how he got rid of them.

If rumours are to be believed, RGV has already started his research on the film and has been meeting Dutt’s associates, and cops involved in his arrest and investigation.
