During summer vacations parents fret about the time children spend at home – what will they do, how to keep them busy? It is important for parents to know that this is time of the year when children can develop a talent or a skill which will help them in developing foundation for the future. It’s also a known fact that kids who are involved in extracurricular activities, perform better academically.

Joining an after-school programme can let your child’s creative instincts thrive, improve their social spirit, or get them fit and active. He or she is introduced to new things, sometimes interesting, sometimes challenging. Socialising is another great advantage of after- school programmes. Children get to meet others who share their interests and make new friendships.

An after-school initiative

Sesame Schoolhouse aims to help young children achieve their highest potential and therefore, has come up with three after-school programmes to keep children active and interested. These after-school programmes will help children widen their areas of interest by providing them with a platform to socialise and the explore their creativity. Keeping in mind that 90 per cent of brain development takes place up to six years and this age group is crucial for physical, intellectual, language and emotional needs. These programmes will continue all round the year for the holistic development of children.
