Anvita Dutt announced her second project with clean-slate filmz and Netflix’s ‘QALA.’ Qala would be a psychological drama starring Triptii Dimri. The story features a life of a playback singer of the 1930s, her tragic sad past harm her present and eventually her future. The story revolves around her struggle to bring her best even in such a harsh situation she had gone through. The story witnesses her relationship with her mother, she fights back against her demons to win success in her career.

While announcing the collaboration and Qala, Anvitaa Dutt said, “To have my second directorial venture with Cleanslate Filmz and Netflix feels ossaum.” Further, she added, “Qala is will be an emotional story featured in the world of music. It is about a mother-daughter bonding, the pressures of fame and what it can do to you. The trailer is not long but shows a glimpse of what is to come and I am looking forward to audiences immersing themselves into Qala’s world on December 1st. Our talented cast and crew have seen our vision while crafting this project. We truly hope to entertain audiences across the world through the world of Qala.”

Apart from Triptii Dimri, Qala featured celebs like Babil Khan, Swastika Mukherjee, Amit Sial, Neer Rao, Avinash Raj Sharma and Ashish Singh in the lead roles. The movie premiered on Netflix on Dec 1st.
