Actor Aaryamann Sethi, son of television personality Archana Puran Singh and actor Parmeet Sethi, has made a startling revelation about an encounter with fans during a family vlog in Delhi. In the video, Aaryamann says that he was pushed and slapped by overexcited fans while they were trying to take selfies with him and his parents.

The incident took place during a food-trail vlog through Delhi’s popular street-food spots, Kamla Nagar, Bengali Market, and Greater Kailash. The family, known for their affectionate and humorous interactions, was clearly taken by surprise when the crowd recognized Aaryamann.

Aaryamann recalled stepping out of the car when his parents asked him to informally survey the area. “No one recognises you anyway,” Archana had joked, little realizing how things would unfold. But when fans flocked over, it quickly turned chaotic. According to him, the love for his parents was real, people calling out gently for “Mumma” and “Papa”, but that softness didn’t extend to him. He says he endured shoves, and even slaps, as people shouted “Get us a picture!”

He expressed both frustration and amusement in the vlog. On one hand, there was real exasperation: “Mere jo dhakke aur thappad pade hain … ‘Karva na photo,’” he said, describing how he pushed back with, “Ab toh nahi karaunga.” On the other, he couldn’t help but laugh as his mother chimed in, teasing the crowd: “Did he pay you to get these pictures?”

The experience at their second stop, a restaurant, wasn’t much calmer. Aaryamann says the shop owner immediately recognized him, followed by more followers asking for selfies. A fan even mixed up his name, calling him “Ayushmaan”, an innocent error, but one that added to the uncanny spectacle.

While the family handled it with characteristic good humour, Aaryamann’s message wasn’t entirely light-hearted. He noted that what some fans see as idol worship can spill into boundary-crossing behaviour. He also expressed disappointment, urging people to respect personal space even when dealing with public personalities. It’s a reminder that fame comes with its fair share of discomforts, and that not all moments captured on camera are as fun as they seem.

But this isn’t the first time Aaryamann has talked about the challenges of public life. In earlier vlogs, he revealed how he has auditioned over 100 times with no success, joking that “reverse nepotism” may be at play. Even his parents, both seasoned performers, have publicly supported him through those struggles.

In many ways, the Delhi incident underscores how the Sethi family often blurs the lines between personal and public life, not just on YouTube, but in real-world moments too. Aaryamann’s willingness to call out the chaos shows a desire for respect, even while acknowledging the love that brought them all together in the first place.
