Singer and Vedic priest Ankit Batra, who officiated the couple’s wedding rituals, has opened up about several intimate and previously unknown moments from the high-profile ceremony. Speaking on the first episode of his YouTube series Voice of Vows, Ankit shared fascinating anecdotes about the lavish yet private wedding held at The Leela Palace Udaipur in September 2023.

One of the most emotional revelations involved Parineeti Chopra’s bridal entry. According to Ankit, the actress planned a heartfelt surprise for her husband by recording a special song exclusively for him. The song reportedly played as she walked into the mandap, leaving everyone emotional. Ankit revealed, “Parineeti ji had a surprise in store as well. She made her entrance to a song that she had recorded specifically for Raghav ji. It was a surprise for him, too.”

The priest also described the wedding’s intense security arrangements, revealing that privacy protocols at the venue were extraordinarily strict. According to him, the palace resembled a fortress, with no unauthorized photography or videography allowed inside. He explained, “Security inside The Leela Palace was quite rigorous; it felt like a fortress. They were so vigilant about maintaining privacy and preserving the sanctity of the rituals that absolutely no unauthorized photography or videography was permitted.”

Ankit further shared that he had traveled to Udaipur on the same flight as the bride and groom. He recalled how the couple quietly arrived before the rest of the guests, while the groom’s baraat later made a royal-style entry via boats crossing the lake from another hotel. Speaking about the celebrations, Ankit mentioned that several political leaders and celebrities attended the ceremony, including former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

According to him, both leaders enthusiastically participated in the wedding festivities and even lifted the groom onto their shoulders while dancing during the baraat procession. Ankit also recalled how deeply interested the guests were in understanding the meaning behind traditional Hindu wedding rituals. He said that leaders like Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann listened attentively for nearly 80 minutes while he explained the significance of every ritual and phera.
