On Friday, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar said that the bail petitions of Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Seth Merchant were not maintainable. The three were arrested along with others after the NCB raided a cruise ship going to Goa.
Anil Singh who is Additional Solicitor General, appeared for the NCB, had opposed the bail applications of all three accused in the drug case. Anil Singh has Referred to many earlier court orders, hence he argued that it was not the jurisdiction of a magistrate to hear these petitions on bail plea under the NDPS Act, as they have a special court for this.

Singh argued that it was not a coincidence that all the drug accused were meeting at the same place. He argued that the arrested people had been regularly taking drugs.
Along with that Additional Solicitor General started to the court that Aryan’s family is influential and if he gets bail, he could tamper with the crucial evidence. Anil Singh has claimed that the conversation between Aryan Khan and co-accused Achit Kumar via WhatsApp chats was not about football, but about a large number of drugs. Aryan’s lawyer Satish Manshinde had claimed that the conversation was about football.
After hearing the arguments, the honourable court dismissed the bail plea applications by saying that it was not maintainable now. The NCB had detained the trio along with a few others last weekend after raiding a Goa-bound cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on Saturday night. So far 20 people have been arrested in this drug case.
