The controversy began when Ashnoor Kaur’s father, Gurmeet Singh, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a story reel showing contestants making hurtful remarks about his daughter inside the Bigg Boss house.

Reacting to the viral clip, Gurmeet wrote, “Why is everyone so insecure about a 21-year-old girl? Oh, I know… they can’t match her dignity and grace.” His response immediately caught the attention of netizens, who began slamming the contestants for their insensitive comments. In the video that went viral, Amaal Malik and Shahbaz Badesha were seen joking about Ashnoor’s appearance. Amaal reportedly said, “She looks like an egg,” to which Shahbaz added, “She has become a thepla.”

Meanwhile, Tanya Mittal, Kunika Sadanand, and Neelam Giri were seen sitting at the dining table, gossiping about Ashnoor’s food habits. They questioned why the 21-year-old actress hadn’t lost weight despite being on a detox diet and exercising regularly. Neelam and Tanya were heard saying, “She’s so fat! She goes to the gym all day, yet how come she’s so fat? Her clothes would suit us better.”

Tanya further claimed that Ashnoor looked older than her in a video clip shown by Bigg Boss, while Kunika remarked, “Even my 13-year-old granddaughter knows what to eat and what not to eat.” In another shocking moment during the ration task, Tanya Mittal was allegedly heard calling Ashnoor an elephant. Later, along with Neelam and Kunika, she mocked the young actress again for her weight comments that many viewers found deeply offensive.
