Ayushmann Khurrana Told How His Father Helped The Trans Community? Gave This Advice To Him

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana is known for acting in out-of-the-box movies. He has acted in such films whose subjects are not discussed in the mainstream. Recently, his new film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui has come, which depicts the discrimination and exclusion faced by the trans community. He says it is very important to produce films with LGBTQ characters. However, he also said that it is not easy to include actors from that community in such films.

He said, his experiences in the past have made him realize that such actors are very sensitive about themselves and they constantly fear that a certain image of them will be created through films. Ayushmann Khurrana is one of his interviews discussed the lack of awareness about the Trans community and revealed that he first knew and understood the trans community when he was just 13 years old.

He said I belong to a conservative family, my parents were progressive. In the mid-’90s, two girls in a hostel came to my father. One of them wanted to undergo this operation and be a boy. Ayushmann Khurrana said that his father suggested the couple visit a gynecologist. But the man forbade them to ‘go against nature’. In the end, Ayushmann Khurrana’s father suggested the couple move to a bigger city, after which they went to Mumbai and had the operation successfully. Now they have been married for the last 20-25 years.

“So when I was 13, I knew about the trans community,” he said. It was a great induction for me. “Even my father didn’t know that the operation would happen and it would be successful,” he said. It was like an eye-opener for me the first time that this community exists and thinks so. Talking about Ayushmann’s upcoming films, he will be seen working in the film Anek, Doctor G, Action Hero. These films will be released on the big screen next year. So far no announcement has been made regarding the release date of these films.
