Bobby Deol Shares How Aishwarya Rai Felt Nervous on the Sets of Aur Pyar Ho Gaya

In a recent chat with Radio Nasha, Bobby Deol recalled his experience working with Aishwarya Rai in their first film, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. He spoke about the Padma Shri awardee’s nervousness during the shoot, explaining that since it was her debut film, she felt a little anxious. However, Bobby added that despite her nerves, Aishwarya impressed everyone on set with her incredible dancing talent. He shared:  “No doubt Aishwarya is one of the most beautiful actors in our country, but it was her first film, so she was a little bit nervous, but she is a very talented dancer.”

In the same interview, Bobby recalled some behind-the-scenes moments from the Switzerland shoot of Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. He revealed that filming there was quite difficult because of limited facilities. The team spent around 40 days in Switzerland, often sitting on the grass since no chairs were available. Bobby also mentioned that the days felt quite dull for him during that time. In his words: “We were in Switzerland for 40 days aur main pak gaya tha Switzerland se. The whole unit would get on a bus at 7 am in the morning, and we would shoot wherever Rahul (Rawail) stopped the bus. At that time, we didn’t have chairs to sit on, but luckily there was grass everywhere, so we would be sitting on the ground. But it was exciting and fun.”

In the interview, Bobby recalled a shocking incident from the sets of Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. He revealed that while filming a sequence in a hot air balloon, the landing went awry. During the rough touchdown, Aishwarya Rai accidentally hit her head. Fortunately, the rest of the Bollywood stars on set escaped without any injuries. Bobby mentioned that he had never spoken about this incident before but was relieved that the Devdas actress was unharmed. He was quoted saying: “We also shot in a hot air balloon, but the landing got messed up and Aishwarya hurt her head. I somehow got saved. I’ve never talked about this incident, but luckily she was fine.”
