The popular veteran actress, Zeenat Aman, who is considered as one of the finest actors of 1970s and 1980s, has reportedly registered a rape case against a Mumbai based businessman at Juhu police station in Mumbai.
As per recent reports, it has been told that the accused businessman has been arrested on Thursday night and will be produced in court today.
It has been said that Zeenat had earlier approached Mumbai Police in January with a molestation and stalking case by the same businessman. Followed by which, the accused was arrested by Mumbai’s Juhu police team based on the complaint of stalking and criminal intimidation filed against him by Zeenat Aman.
Recent reports by a leading daily claim that from 2011 to 2015, 38-year-old accused Sarfaraz, demanded 65-year-old Zeenat Aman to give him her gold jewellery worth rupees 15,40,60,000. When the actress denied giving Sarfaraz the jewellery, he made fake forged papers of 5 of the flats in the actress’ name, and fraudulently transferred it in his name. Later Sarfaraz raped the actress and made fake papers for their nikah or marriage ceremony, and threatened her of dire consequences if she spoke out against him. The police have now arrested the accused and booked him under sections 376,420,406,465,467,468,469,471,506 of the IPC.
The case has been handed over to the Mumbai crime branch and a probe is underway.
