Bollywood Celebrities Who Lost Big Films Because of Their High Price Demand

Since the Hindi film industry has become one of the highest grossing industries in the country now, even the performers and actors have started to demand quite a hefty amount for their respective roles. And among these actors, there are even some who lost some of the big films just because of their high price demand. Scroll down to know who these Bollywood celebrities are:

 

Shah Rukh Khan

As per reports, it is believed that the popular filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had earlier decided to make Padmavati (Now Padmaavat) with SRK. But when the makers of the film approached King Khan for the big offer, he demanded quite a high price of 90 crores which did not go well with SLB’s budget. So, he later roped in Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor as the male leads and Deepika Padukone as the female lead.

 

Sri Devi

It is no less than a dream come true for an actor to feature in one of the highest grossing films like ‘Baahubali’. When our beautiful Bollywood actress, Sri Devi was approached by the director, S.S. Rajamouli and asked if she would like to feature in the film for the role of Mahishmati queen Sivagami, she readily agreed but then she demanded quite a high pay of Rs. 6 crores for the same. This is why the director later offered the role to Ramya Krishnan.

 

Nawazuddin Siddiqui

When Nawazuddin Siddiqui was approached by the makers of the film, ‘Jolly LLB 2’ and offered a role in the film, he demanded his offer of 3.5 Crores which was too high for the director, Subhash Kapoor. So, he later roped in Annu Kapoor for the same role.

 

Kareena Kapoor

Karan Johar directed film, ‘Kal Ho Na ho’ was earlier expected to see Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. After the release of her film, ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’, when Karan went ahead to ask Kareena to feature in his film, she demanded quite high fees for the film’s lead role. So, Karan had to choose ‘Preity Zinta’ instead.

 

R. Madhavan

When popular Bollywood actor, R. Madhavan was offered a lead role in Atul Manjrekar’s next film, ‘Fanne Khan’, he demanded a hefty amount of Rs. 1.5 crores. So, the role was later given to the famous actor, Anil Kapoor.

 

Sonakshi Sinha

While Sonakshi was enjoying her success of her blockbuster films like ‘Dabangg 2’ and ‘Son of Sardar’, the fame producer, Sajid Nadiadwala approached her and Salman with an offer for the two to feature together in his film, ‘Housefull 3’. But when Sonakshi demanded a whopping amount for the same, Sajid was left with no option but to approach some other celebrity. He later offered the role to Deepika Padukone, but since she too declined the offer, he finally roped in Jacqueline for the same role.

 

Madhuri Dixit

Our dancing queen, Madhuri Dixit, has not only mesmerised us with her dance moves but also with her phenomenal acting skills. There was a time when she was a sensation in the Bollywood industry. According to sources, she has left many hit films because of her high price demand.
