Bollywood actor Govinda gave his fans a major scare early in the morning on November 12, when reports surfaced that the veteran star had collapsed at home and was rushed to the hospital. The 60-year-old actor, known for his impeccable comic timing and dance moves, suddenly felt dizzy and fainted late at night. According to close friend and legal advisor Lalit Bindal, Govinda was immediately taken to Critical Care Asia Multispecialty Hospital in Mumbai around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

Bindal confirmed that the actor had been feeling weak and uneasy since Tuesday morning, and his health took a turn for the worse just after midnight. In an interview with one of the media houses, Lalit Bindal shared that Govinda started experiencing dizziness and weakness around Tuesday evening. He said, “Yesterday he felt weak, and then suddenly in the evening he felt dizzy for a few seconds. He fainted. After that, his family doctor prescribed him a medicine over the phone, which he took.”

Bindal further detailed the timeline of events, saying, “Govinda took medicine around 8:30–9:00 p.m. and went to his room to rest. Then, suddenly around 12 a.m., he again felt uneasy, dizzy, weak, and suffocated. He called me home, and I reached around 12:15 a.m. After consulting his doctor, I took him to the hospital. He was admitted to the emergency ward around 1 a.m.” Govinda has now been shifted from the emergency ward to a regular room, and doctors have conducted several medical tests. Lalit Bindal confirmed that the actor is under constant observation.

“Govinda is currently resting. There is no news of his discharge yet, as doctors are waiting for the reports. I spoke to him this morning, and he said he is feeling better now,” Bindal said. Many fans were concerned after learning that Govinda was taken to the hospital by his friend rather than a family member. Addressing these concerns, Lalit Bindal explained that Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, and their daughter, Tina Ahuja, were not at home at the time.
Sunita had traveled out of town to attend a wedding, while Tina was in Chandigarh for work commitments. As soon as Sunita received news of Govinda’s health scare, she immediately returned to Mumbai to be by his side.
