It all dates back to 2014 when the reports of a happy-go-lucky couple, Preity Zinta & Ness Wadia’s split started pouring in.  However, it was the reason behind which shocked everyone. ‘Ness Wadia molested her during an IPL match’ was the breaking news going on in television.

The alleged incident took place at the Wankhede Stadium in 2014 during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match. Zinta and Wadia are co-owners of the Kings XI Punjab IPL team.

According to the complaint filed by Preity Zinta, Wadia was allegedly abusing the team staff over ticket distribution when Zinta asked him to calm down as their team was winning. This is what Preity Zinta had said about him:

“During that time [the match] he [Ness Wadia] tried to abuse me and used extremely derogatory language and tried to behave in a manner where I was put to shame in front of my colleagues, friends and family. I say that Ness Wadia has gone to the extent of threatening me with dire consequences and intimidating me by boasting of his political clout and connections.”

4 years have passed on since the incident, and now The Bombay High Court on Wednesday has quashed this case. As per reports, Ness Wadia’s lawyer stated, “We (Wadia) want to bury the hatchet. The complainant is married now and has moved on with her life. The two even sit at the same table during the IPL players’ auction now”.

Zinta’s advocate told the court that the actor is willing to settle the matter if Wadia is ready to apologise. Ness Wadia’s advocated had then said that his client was ready to bury the hatchet, but he would not apologise.
