‘Hues’ as the name suggests is a book with different shades of life. A little package of childhood memories, some first experiences and some lost moments in the crowd, sewed together into a form of simple poetry gives the readers immense happiness.

Maya who has earlier written various articles has done an excellent job in this book, which is a collection of 19 short poems that describe nature, love, and life, living alone and achieving goals.

The poems are printed in a hand written manner which makes the reader hitched to them. To me it was like reading some experiences from someone’s diary.

It is a book that will surely remind you of your childhood’s literature lessons. It makes you wander into the thoughts with the easy words that the poet has used. Among all the other difficult to read and hard to understand poetry collections, this book will surely win your heart. Do give it a read.
