Cardi B Declares Her Next Album Will Be Out Next Year, Says ‘It’s Not Ready Yet’

Since the rapper disclosed her debut and Grammy-winning album, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018, her fans have kept an eye on what she will do next. On Thursday, in an interview on The Breakfast Club, host Charlamagne Tha God questioned Cardi if she had chosen a release date for her latest album.

“I have no choice, I have to put it out,” B answered. “I have like a couple of songs that are like definite, I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going on with me. I need to just make up my mind and put it out.” She further disclosed that the project isn’t ready yet and is “missing something. I gotta put it out, I gotta put it out next year.”

In the same interview, the host suggested releasing it on Invasion of Privacy‘s fifth anniversary, April 6, 2023, to which she wasn’t against! Lately, Cardi released “Tomorrow 2” with GloRilla — and concurrently, they performed the song at the AMA last month.

GloRilla began the performance sporting a jaunty yellow bralette coupled with corresponding high-waisted pants and extended gloves as she rapped the first half of the track next to dancers in white versions of her costume.

After that, the rapper was seen coming out of a purple sports car with open doors and sporting an equivalent ensemble to GloRilla’s in baby blue as she performed her verse. The duo later performed choreography with the dancers, and Cardi had a smile on her face through the end of the performance.
