Do you remember the show which managed to beat the TRP of the supreme reality show Bigg Boss with its premiere? Yes, it was none other than Ekta Kapoor’s big hit show ‘Naagin’. It managed to attract millions of viewers from all over the country.
The show premiered in November 2015. It not only received a mind-blowing response but also became the highest watched television serial at some point of time. The growing interest of the audience in the television daily forced the producers of the show to an extent that they had to come up with its sequel that went on air in October 2016 and marked its end in June 2017.
And there’s no doubt that the major contribution for making the show a huge success came from its two protagonists Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan. Their charm and acting skills managed to keep the viewers glued to the TV show.
According to the reports that TV actress Krystale D’Souza has replaced Mouni Roy in the third season of her popular show, Naagin. Also, buzz was that for the character played by Adaa Khan, names like Vindhya Tewari & Aastha Sharma were being considered.
As per a report in Indian Express, Surbhi Jyoti will be portraying the lead role (earlier played by Mouni) while Anita Hassanadani will portray the antagonist, Shesha (previously played by Adaa). Karanvir Bohra will reportedly be retained for the male lead.
A source close to the production house told the leading daily:
After an intensive search, these actors have been finalized. While names of Krystle D’Souza and Sanjeeda Sheikh were also in the running, Ekta personally got involved in the casting to choose the best face for Naagin 3. The team is currently in the process of signing the deals with the other cast and hopefully, the show should go on floors soon.
