Bollywood stars used to be unapproachable and were meant to be admired from afar. But with the advent of social media since past few years, the distance has reduced virtually. We feel closer to our favourite celebrities as they showcase tidbits of their professional and personal lives on social media networks. But what feels like a boon to many, might come across as a bane to some.
Due to overexposure of celebs on social media, fans get direct access to communicate with them. More often than not, stars bear the brunt of aggressive fan behaviour. Social media has inevitable given the opportunity to the mean trolls on the web to criticize the celebs.
This time around, it was Deepika Padukone who became the target of merciless trolling on Instagram. On the occasion of the World Photography Day i.e. 19th August, Deepika posted a throwback picture of her with her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor on Instagram. It was a still from their successful film ‘Tamasha’. In the picture, she can be seen clicking Ranbir’s picture. She captioned the picture as: “Capturing Moments 📸📸 #WorldPhotographyDay”
As soon as she put up the picture, it got everyone’s attention and people started trolling her for putting up a picture with ex-beau instead of her current and much-committed boyfriend Ranveer Singh. Some people stated that she doesn’t deserve Ranveer. While others accused that she still is not over her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
Check out some of the comments under her Instagram picture:
What is interesting is that her boyfriend Ranveer who never misses dropping a comment on her Instagram pictures did not comment anything this time.
But the truth is that Ranveer and Deepika have been in a steady relationship for some years now. Earlier they weren’t open about their equation, but now the comment on each others’ pictures on social media.
In an interview, Deepika spoke candidly about Ranveer Singh. While talking about the thing she loves the most about him, the actress revealed, “Everything other than the most obvious. I am bored when people say they love his energy. The man has so much more! He is an extremely good human being. He is kind and good to people. He is very real, emotional and sensitive. He is a man who is not afraid to cry, and I love that about him. He is a man!”
We are so happy that the two are together and much in love. If rumours are to be believed, they will tie the knot this year in November.
