Delhi : The Heart Of India
Delhi always has a extra special place in my heart. It is not just an another city to me but a place to go and find solace. Every time you visit Delhi, you simple cannot miss out on various sites and destinations that this city has to offer. You cannot be bored in Delhi at any point of time, such is the vibe of this place and that’s why it is called as “Dilwalo ki Dilli”.
Delhi is the place where diversity of India is best seen. Here, you can find people from every part of India and it always welcomes everyone with open arms. This city has everything for everyone and you can never truly have enough of visiting it. There is so much to explore, India Gate, Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple, Connaught Place, Qutub Minar, Chandni Chowk and the list go on and on.
Describing every place of Delhi will make a good book to read, but there are places that are worthy of a special mention from my side. Chandini Chowk and Connaught Place are two of the major destinations of this amazing city and are always filled with people no matter what time of the day it is.
The “Signatutre Bridge” that connects the city Wazirabad across the river Yamuna to the inner city, is also known as the new landmark of New Delhi. This bridge is expected to reduce the travel time for commuters going to Ghaziabad and areas near Uttar Pradesh border. The viewing gallery will be opened in February next year that will allow the visitors to have a bird’s eye view of the city from the height of 154m.
Enriched with history and culture, the stunning avenues and royal buildings of New Delhi are included in the list of attractions. Akshardham, Humayun’Tomb, India Gate, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Gandhi Smriti are some of the major attractions of New Delhi that draws a large number of tourists every year.
Demonstrating the electrifying night life, Odeon Social, My Bar Headquaters, Excuse Me Boss, The Junkyard Café, Lord Of The Drinks, Sky India, Tamasha have decent pricing and great food with an energetic crowd.
Dream college of every engineering student IIT Delhi is among the top universities in the world and number 4th in India. Popularly known for the intense political life on campus, Jawaharlal Nehru University is one of the finest universities in India. Delhi Universities is one of the largest and renowned universities in India, also conducts one of the best college fests in Delhi.
The climate of New Delhi comes with a high variation between summer and winter in terms of both rainfall and temperature. The temperature fluctuates from 46ºC in summers to around 0ºC in winters.
It is better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times.
