Neha Bora had reportedly reached the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi to address students protesting over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations. However, a section of the protesters objected to her presence, insisting that their movement should remain separate from political parties and outside organisations. Amid the commotion, Bora was reportedly removed from the stage. During the incident, someone allegedly threw ink at her. Police subsequently detained a person in connection with the ink-throwing incident.

Reacting to the controversy on X, Devoleena questioned the use of abusive language during student protests. She referred to alleged remarks made against PM Narendra Modi and his late mother, while arguing that political agendas should not be brought into every student movement. The actress contrasted the Jharkhand protest with demonstrations at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, claiming that students in Jharkhand were protesting despite rain and hunger strikes, while accusing some protesters in Delhi of using abusive language against the Prime Minister.

Her remarks, however, did not go down well with several social media users. One social media user criticised the actress and accused her of indirectly supporting the ink attack on Neha Bora. The user also sarcastically suggested that Devoleena had used ChatGPT to write her post.

She added that if the use of force against a woman was wrong, then raising a hand against police officers and using abusive language against the Prime Minister were also wrong.
