For the previous four seasons, three well-known celebrities, Geeta Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, and Anurag Basu, have judged the popular kid’s dancing reality show Super Dancer. Due to the growing controversy surrounding Raj Kundra’s arrest in the pornography case, Shilpa halted filming for the show. The businessman is being held in custody at the moment. After she quit shooting, many speculated that she might no longer be a judge of Super Dancer.
According to sources, the production crew suggested actress Raveena Tandon replace Shilpa Shetty. The Andaz Apna Apna actress declined the opportunity. She told the producers that Super Dancer 4 could only belong to Shilpa Shetty. Raveena was chosen on the ground that she is a well-known figure who has appeared on numerous reality series.
Shilpa Shetty is rumored to have gone overseas and will appear on the show in August. Until she returns, choreographer Geeta Kapoor and director Anurag Basu will judge the show along with special guests.
Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty Kundra filed a Rs 25 crore defamation complaint against the media for publicizing and publishing derogatory information about her and her husband Raj Kundra. Her petition was denied by the High Court because it would violate journalistic freedom.
