Divya Dutta Won The Best Actress Award For The Film ‘Sheer Korma’- Bollywood Scoop

The actress recently won the Best Actress award for her short film ‘Sheer Korma’ at the DFW South Asian Film Festival in Dallas, USA. The film has been touring at film festivals around the world for quite some time and has been winning acclaim on international canvas. Sheer Korma, helmed by Faraz Ansari, is one of the films that represent the LGBTQIA+ community. At its core is a heart-touching story. The film also stars veteran actress Shabana Azmi and Swara Bhaskar.
Talking about participating in the event, the extremely excited Divya said, “I am very excited to be physically here in Dallas and receive the award. Till now most of the participation in the film festival for ‘Sheer Korma’ happened virtually. This time Faraz (director of the film) took special permission and so we could travel.”
The actress also launched her book at another event while in the United States. This is her second book after the much-acclaimed ‘Me and Ma’. Titled ‘The Stars in My Sky’, the book documents his memorable experience working in the world’s most prolific film industry. It also tells about his interactions with people in the Hindi film industry who have played a definite role in his journey so far and contributed to her success as an actor.
