Sanjay Dutt is all set to make his comeback on the big screen with Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi and we just can’t control our excitement. Bhoomi is a rape revenge story and revolves around the beautiful relationship of a father and daughter. The movie stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharad Kelkar and Sidhant Gupta. Sanjay Dutt will be seen playing the role of an angry father and the trailer looks amazing and Sanju Baba’s acting speaks loud for him. No doubt why he is still a superstar for all of us.

Recently, the team visited Delhi for promotions and shared their experience of working on this project.

While sharing about her bond with Sanjay Dutt, Aditi got emotional and said that it was a beautiful experience for her. She also shared her working experience with him. Aditi said, “He is such a rock star on-screen, he is playing this father, who is very protective and I play his daughter’s role. It’s a powerful story and Sanjay sir is so effortless.”

Omung shared what made him choose this script. He said, “The script was with us for a long time and my partner had thought over this one storyline and we developed it. One and a half year back we went to Sanjay Sir to produce this film. There were other scripts also with him but he chose this one as his comeback vehicle. He thought somewhere the script fits his criteria he was looking out for. He was going on with other scripts but he backed out and said that this one will be my comeback film. And at that time I was busy with another project but he told me to direct it. It is a dream come true if an actor chooses you.”

Sanjay Dutt shared why he chose Bhoomi as his comeback film. He shared, “As an actor, I believe in giving my 100 percent. Bhoomi is a socially relevant film. I believe in Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao. In jail someone told me, ‘Baba hum ek taraf Kaali Ma, Durga Ma ki puja karte hain aur doosri taraf hum stree ke saath aisa karte hain.’ This is such a shocking contrast. The film has a strong message, at the same time Omung Kumar did not want to make the film a docu-drama.”

Bhoomi is slated to release on 22nd September 2017.
