Bollywood is a starry world that every normal person wishes to be a part of. After all, it has given people tons of money and fame through the years. However, not many know the journey of people who successfully become a part of this industry. Thousands of people reach Mumbai everyday with a dream to become a Bollywood actor. While some are able to make it big, others never get a chance to showcase their talent.
Competition is tough and it is more like a do or die situation. And in between, people get to face a lot of rejection. Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma who made her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has come a long way. Today, she is not only a successful actor but a producer too. In a recent interview, she shared what all she had to face before stepping into the industry and making it big.
“I have faced rejection from the age of 15. I don’t talk about it because there’s no need to do that. But, I was constantly getting dropped from shows, picked for an ad and then would get replaced. All that has happened to me, too. Obviously, all that is also an integral part of the industry and life in general. But to experience that at the tender age of 15, to be subjected and be judged purely on the basis of how you look, it can be very mentally damaging as well. It hits your self-esteem. I have dealt with it.”
Anushka has surely put in a lot of hard work to reach where she is today. Inspiring!
