Farah Khan’s 21st Wedding Anniversary

Farah Khan, never one to shy away from humour or honesty, marked her 21st wedding anniversary with Shirish Kunder by sharing a set of rare, intimate photos — and a sharp comeback to an old, snide remark about her marriage.

The filmmaker-choreographer posted unseen snapshots from her 2004 wedding, including a charming moment where Shah Rukh Khan is seen performing her kanyadaan.

Another picture showed the couple with a baby’s crib, offering a nostalgic glimpse into their early years as parents to their triplets.

But alongside the warm memories, Farah also chose to address a hurtful comment someone had made during her wedding years ago: “I’ll attend her next one.” With her trademark wit, she shut it down once and for all, writing, “Sorry pal, this one’s going okay till now.”

Farah’s Instagram filled with love

She went on to pen a heartfelt note for Shirish, sharing that while the two may not be the kind of couple to walk hand-in-hand in public, he remains the anchor of their family — the person holding everything together behind the scenes. With a playful sign-off, she added, “Have I embarrassed you enough?? 😂”

The post quickly drew love and admiration from friends across the film industry. Anil Kapoor dropped a warm anniversary wish, while Zoya Akhtar, Diana Penty, and Soha Ali Khan also joined in to celebrate the couple. Fans, too, applauded Farah’s blend of humour and vulnerability, praising her for speaking her truth so gracefully.

The photos themselves radiated a deep sense of companionship — Farah and Shirish during their wedding rituals, candid family frames from the years that followed, and quiet moments that showcased their journey.

In an industry where marriages are often scrutinized and speculated upon, Farah’s anniversary post felt refreshingly grounded. It wasn’t just a celebration of longevity — it was a gentle reminder that every relationship has its own story, its own rhythm, and its own way of surviving the noise.
