Delhi’s already soaring high temperature rose, even more, when the gorgeous international models set the ramp on fire at the annual fashion show of JIMS Rohini ‘Styles and Trends 2018’ and presented the market-ready designer collections created by the Fashion Designing students of the esteemed college.
Top models, CEO’s from the fashion design industry and experts from Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) congregated at the razzling and dazzIing annual fashion show ‘Styles and Trends 2018’ organized by JaganNath Institute of Management Sciences (JIMS). The event came alive on April 5, 2018 at JIMS Sector 5 Campus, Rohini.
The jury had esteemed designers like Sonia Jetleey, Manish Gupta, Sanjana Jon, Bharat and Reshma, Amit Talwaar and also some eminent personalities from the fashion world like Rita Gangwani, Srishti Kaur, Chand Bakshi, Paridhi Sharma, Parul Bhatnagar, Shiv Keshan & Manoj Awana. With such eminent personality as jury members, the event was not a mere any other college fashion show but way beyond that. Designer students left no stone unturned to impress the judges with their immensely innovative designer fashion collections.
Students several scintillating creations on themes such as, “Cyber Punk”, “Vasant” , Ashnik”, Western formal wear collection, “Jungle Jamboree” experimental collection with a lot of creativity, “Demons Worship” and many more. The haute couture on display won the hearts of fashion connoisseurs.
India’s leading Bollywood choreographer and model trainer Mr. Kaushik Ghosh choreographed these beautiful sequences.
At Styles and Trends various trendy, eye-catching designs created by the students of JIMS Rohini, Department of Fashion Design, were displayed by models. JIMS Annual Fashion Show began with a sequence inspired from Indian traditional textiles with Dabu prints in blue & white “Indigofera”. It was the transformation of creative ideas and design concepts of young students. Designers of JIMS presented many a scintillating creations on themes such as “Ashnik”, Western formal wear collection, “Jungle Jamboree” experimental collection with a lot of creativity, “Vasant”, “Cyber Punk”, “Demons Worship” and many more.
The collection of the designers denoted beauty, purity, clarity, and royalty in true essence. The colourful dresses on display were designed using various fabrics like silk, crepe, chiffon, georgette, velvet, nets etc. The designs were an outcome of experiments with technology, non-conventional materials, color palette, silhouettes, and fabrics. With each sequence being commercially viable, the show was indeed a superhit.
Speaking on the occasion Vice chairman Mr. Deepak Gupta, JIMS Rohini said, “The fashion industry today is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic Industries in the world. Hence, at JIMS School of Fashion Design, we train our students keeping three important aspects in mind – the primary needs of the client, the focal point of design and the design appeal to the customer.
