India Runway Week witnessed an unusual moment of immense joy, pride and respect when Alexandra Kutas, a fashion model with disability, embraced the ramp on wheelchair for the exceptionally talented designer duo Nikheil and Rivendra.
The sheer personification of confidence, glamour and breaking stereotype, Alexandra looked absolutely gorgeous in a midnight blue dress by the designer duo. She graced the ramp for Nikheil & Rivendra’s winter/festive collection ‘Vintage Vibes’ at India Runway Week Winter Festive 2017 held at DLF Place, Saket, Delhi. The audience broke out into a loud cheer as Alexandra began the show and also turned as the show stopper for Nikheil and Rivendra.
The duo’s ‘Vintage Vibes’ collection evokes nostalgic look with an ode to the Retro 50’s. With ensembles ranging from corset jumpsuits to pencil dresses to flared pants – the collection was every bit drool worthy. Have a look!
Alexandra has been suffering from a spinal cord injury at birth. The 23-year-old is paralyzed from the waist down, but her disability, plus a few other setbacks, could never stop her from trying to fulfill her dreams. She had the passion of modeling but due to her disability, she was rejected by many fashion industries but as it is always said no one can stop from pursuing your dreams. Alexandra is now a successful runway model. She’s trying to break down barriers in the fashion industry.
Much love, Alexandra! And what an alluring collection, Nikheil and Rivendra!
