On January 11, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli embraced parenthood for the very first time. The couple became parents to a baby girl. After the birth of their little munchkin, the two had requested paps not to click pictures of their newborn. Now, it has been 20 days since the arrival of their baby girl, and Virat and Anushka have finally shared a picture of their little one.  A while back, Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram handle to share the first-ever picture of their baby girl and she also revealed the name of their daughter.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have named their daughter Vamika. While sharing the adorable family photo, Anushka Sharma wrote, “We have lived together with love, presence, and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss – emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers, and good energy.”

Virushka had sent a thank you to the papparazi’s while requesting privacy for their baby girl. The note read, “Hi, Thank you for all the love that you have given us for all these years. We are happy to celebrate this momentous occasion with you. As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support. While we will always ensure that you get all the content you need featuring us, we would request you to kindly not take or carry any content that has our child. We know that you will understand where we are coming from and we thank you for the same.”

Earlier, while announcing the arrival of their daughter, Virat Kohli had penned a note in Hindi and English that read, “We are thrilled to share with you that we’ve been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat (sic).”
