Even in the films like Befikre, Gunday and Kill Dil that didn’t do well at box office, Ranveer’s performance has always been appreciated by the critics and the audience.
As we wish him a very happy birthday, let’s take a look at the top five performances of the actor.
1. Band Baaja Baaraat
Ranveer Singh made his debut with the movie in 2010, opposite Anushka Sharma. How can we forget the boy from Delhi who wanted to establish his own business (or ‘binness’, as he calls it)? In the movie, he played the role of Bittoo, a good-hearted person but also an idiot when it comes to matters of love. It ended up being one of the most successful movies of the year.
2. Goliyon Ki Raaslela Ram-Leela
This was Ranveer’s first movie with alleged girlfriend Deepika Padukone. The movie made head turns and people couldn’t help but notice Ranveer’s unbound energy. In the movie Ranveer plays the role of ‘Ram’ and Deepika Padukone plays ‘Leela’. The story is about the two falling in love with each other and trying to stop the bloodshed between their respective clans. The movie holds a special place in the heart of every DeepVeer fan out there.
3. Bajirao Mastani
Another movie which achieved big triumph at the box office. He played the role of Maratha Peshwa Bajirao in this historical love saga and brought life to his character. From his physical transformation for the role to his amazing dialogue delivery, Ranveer’s performance in the epic saga was splendid.
4. Dil Dhadakne Do
Ranveer Singh played the goofy guy in the movie with a lot of ease. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the movie was about a dysfunctional family who has life-changing experiences amidst their journey on a cruise. His goofy dance-train skills, his inappropriate giggles and his hotness, Ranveer Singh was definitely the best choice for the movie.
Essaying the role of the tyrant, Allaudin Khilji, was the last stamp on Ranveer’s escalation to superstardom. He took up a great challenge of playing an anti-hero and slayed it. Ranveer Singh has clearly given all that he has for the part. He wasn’t even the central character of the movie but the film belonged to Ranveer. This role of Ranveer Singh will be undoubtedly remembered for years. Ranveer Singh has clearly given all that he has for the part.
Happy Birthday, Ranveer Singh!
