Actor Gautami Kapoor publicly apologised to Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa contestant Shreya Kalra on behalf of her husband, actor Ram Kapoor, following the controversy surrounding his alleged inappropriate behaviour inside the reality show’s house. The emotional exchange took place during the family week episode, where loved ones entered the house to meet contestants ahead of the grand finale.
The controversy began after Shreya accused Ram Kapoor of repeatedly crossing personal boundaries. She alleged that he had kissed her on the cheek without her consent after she saved him from elimination and also claimed that his behaviour towards other female contestants often made them uncomfortable. During the latest episode, Gautami entered the Lock Upp house alongside Shreya’s boyfriend, Rishabh Jaiswal.
