Glitz and Glamour on display at JIMS “Styles and Trends 2019”
New Delhi, March 28, 2019: Top models CEO’s from the fashion design industry and experts from Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) congregated at the razzling and dazzIing annual fashion show “Styles and Trends 2019” organized by JaganNath Institute of Management Sciences (JIMS). The event came alive on March 28, 2019 at JIMS Sector 3 Campus, Rohini.
At Styles and Trends various trendy, eye-catching designs created by the students of JIMS Rohini, Department of Fashion Design, were displayed by models. JIMS Annual Fashion Show began with a sequence inspired from Hippies & Boho fashion in orange, yellow& green prints “Gypsy Soul”. It was the transformation of creative ideas and design concepts of young students. Designers of JIMS presented many a scintillating creations on themes such as “Tassellate” a mélange of patch work & hand embroidery, “Pride Bursting of Colours” inspired from LGBTQ Community, “To Bind-The Story of Loom”, “Blue Stockings” “Rongali-Mekhlachodor” and many more.
Experts and top names from the fashion industry and FDCI Designers from the capital assembled at Styles and Trends. The collection showcased by the students manifested a mix of ‘PRET A PORTER’ & ‘HAUTE COUTURE’.
The collection of the designers denoted beauty, purity, clarity and royalty. The colorful dresses on display were designed using various fabrics like silk, crepe, chiffon, georgette, velvet, nets etc. The designs were an outcome of experiments with technology, non-conventional materials, color palette, silhouettes and fabrics. These were judged by fashion gurus under five major categories: “Best Designer of the year”, “Most Creative Collection of the year”, “Most Spankling Collection of the year”, “Most Commercially Viable Collection of the year” & “Sapling Jewellery Designer”. The Jury members for the event were Designer Sonia Jetleey, Designer Manish Gupta, Designer Charu Vij, Designer Ajit Kumar, Designers Bharat and Reshma & Ms. Rita Gangwani While known faces like, Mr. Dinesh Mohan & Mr. Varun Katyal were among the Guest of Honor. India’s leading Bollywood choreographer and model trainer Mr. Kaushik Ghosh choreographed these beautiful sequences. The event was supported by SPS Kalra Photography, Woman’s Era & VLCC Institute
