Though the film has been announced it is currently in the scripting stage only. The makers want to go on floors by May -June the coming year. Producer Sandeep Singh said that he wanted to make this film since he brought his first Bollywood film. All know that many versions of Gandhi and Godse are in public life but not all show impartial facts. The producers want to bring the untold version of the facts of Godse’s life.

Through the film, Raj and he are going to bring the true story. As Mahesh Manjrekar has been directing another film of theirs, named ‘Savarkar’. He is very happy that Mahesh is directing Nathuram Godse also. Adding to that Raj Shandilya told that recently they found that people are increasingly curious in knowing about the life of Godse. At the same time, a new generation is in a time where there is freedom of expression and now films can express things unbiased. It caters for a space for different viewpoints.

Director Mahesh Manjrekar says that the story of Nathuram Godse has been close to his heart. It takes a lot of courage to make a film on this sensitive subject. He is a director who believes in hard-hitting subjects without compromising on the actual story. Since Gandhi killing the only thing broadly people know about Nathuram Godse is that he was the killer of Gandhi. After this people know nothing more than that. He said that he neither does try to glorify him nor say anything against anyone artificial while telling this true story. The director wants to leave it to the audience to decide what was right or what was wrong. That’s it.
