A gratified moment for India! Manushi Chhillar is crowned as Miss World 2017

Miss World 2017, the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China.

Out of 118 contestants from all over the world, 4th Femina Miss India Manushi Chhillar was declared as Miss World 2017 on 18 November 2017. The entire nation gives heartiest congratulation to Manushi. This is the sixth time that the incredible country has won the Miss World. The world was thrilled as soon as they announced the name of 2nd Runner-Up, Stephanie Hill of England and 1st Runner up, Andrea Meza of Mexico. Manushi being the

Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico crowned her successor Manushi Chhillar and we could see the big smile on her face as she was being crowned.

“The feeling is still sinking in and very excited to make India proud too. I’m also looking forward to the year ahead,’’ Manushi gracefully said.

“My parents have always been my pillar of support and having them here tonight by my side has only brought me more strength and joy. My final answer also came to me by having them here with me in front of me,” she added.

The 20-year-old medical student from Sonipat, Haryana, who aspires of becoming a cardiac surgeon, jumped all the hurdles on her way to Mumbai in June for Miss India pageant and proudly represented India at the Miss World 2017 pageant. The gifted Manushi Chhillar is a trained Kuchipudi dancer, and has trained under fabled dancers Raja and Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy. Manushi has also won the “Beauty with Purpose” award.
