Gul Panag Finally Opens Up, Explains Why She Kept Her 6-Month-Old Baby A Secret

There are some celebrities enjoy having a private life and keeping it away from the hustle and bustle of shutterbugs. One of them is actress, model and politician Gul Panag. Gul, who had married pilot beau Rishi Attariin 2011, became a mom six months ago and has successfully managed to evade the media glare. The news, undoubtedly, came as a shock to many. The couple has named their first child, Nihal.

Now, ready to share the good news with the world, Gul spoke to Mumbai Mirror and shared the joys of motherhood and how did she manage to keep it a secret. “Rishi and I have always valued our privacy. Becoming parents is a special experience and we decided that we’d like to go through it without the distraction of public attention. Family and close friends knew about Nihal but we refrained from posting anything on the social media.”, said Gul.

“He is almost six months old and it has been a roller coaster ride! I’m charmed by his gurgles and giggles even if it is a bit of a struggle with erratic sleep and feeding schedules. Life and goals are taking shape parallelly, with a little more coordination between Rishi and me to include Nihal.”, she added.

She also revealed how it was like returning to her fitness regime post-pregnancy,  “Nihal was born prematurely so I didn’t put on too much weight. Even through the pregnancy, I took care to eat healthy and have always been very active, so it was easy to get back to my workouts and shed the extra kilos.”

About naming her little munchkin Nihal, Gul stated, “We had a list of names from everyone and everywhere. Nihal means joy, success and victory that comes with the blessings of God. Rishi and I believe that leading principled, good lives leads to true and lasting success so the name resonated with us.”

On the professional front, Gul Panag is known for her roles in movies like Dor, Dhoop, Manorama Six Feet Under, Hello and Ab Tak Chhappan 2.
