It is Boman Irani’s birthday today and we simply can’t stop remembering the stupendous performances he has given throughout his career. A hardcore Parsi, Boman has never failed to impress us with his commendable acting skills and wit, ofcourse. From being a waiter to an acclaimed actor, Boman Irani is sheer inspiration. He had a speech problem in his childhood and was even mocked out for the same but a true superhero in real life too, he overcame all obstacles and became what he is today.
A perfectionist by nature, he excelled in each and every profession he tried so far. Here are 5 roles played by him that prove he is the most fine and versatile actor in our industry.
3 Idiots: This one has to top the list. The grumpy professor with weird antics whom every student (except Chamcha Chandu) hated has so far been the most irritating yet iconic onscreen teachers ever on Indian screens. His body language, accent, expressions, dialogue delivery was way beyond perfect and made us giggle to the core.
Khosla ka Ghosla: One of the finest movie of Indian cinema had the most fine cast. And yes, Boman was one of them who played the role of corrupt property dealer who tries to cheat Anupam Kher but ends up getting fooled himself. Irani indeed had a major role in this sheer class movie.
Lage Raho Munna Bhai: He was superb in the prequel of this film (Munna Bhai MBBS) where he played the hell-maker of Munna (Sanjay Dutt) and a baldhead professor. Thus, he landed in this one too but in a complete different avtaar. A real life Parsi became a Sikh on screen, which is otherwise too hard to even imagine. He did more than justice to the role and yet again proved his versatility.
Dostana: Even though it was just a small cameo, but he made us laugh rolling on the floor with his gay role, who tries hard to seduce not-so-gay but gays John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan and fails terribly.
