We cannot keep calm, Gossip Girl Is Back!

The official trailer of the highly anticipated series was released on Thursday, June 10′ 2021. The revamped HBO Max Show Gossip Girl is all set to kick off next month on July 8, 2021. Though none of the old cast would be a part of the reboot, the trailer explores the changes that took place over the years in the realm of social media and also in the landscape of New York City.


The HBO Max series stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, and Savannah Lee Smith. Based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar, the 10-episode sequel series will be set eight years after Dan Humphrey shuts down the titular website. The reboot will introduce a new set of New York School teens to the social landscape.


Gossip Girl: “Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl,” the show’s official description read.

The show is still under the hands of its original creators, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and executive producer Joshua Safran. Along with the original creators, the original voice of the Gossip Girl, Kristen Bell would be returning to narrate the series in her original Gossip Girl style.     


According to the writers, the reboot will be a continuation of the original series from the part where it ended as opposed to a remake of the show. Gossip Girl was one of the most popular teenage drama series watched all over the world. The original Gossip Girl aired for six seasons between 2007–2012 on The CW. The original cast comprised Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, and more.

Gossip Girl will be available on the HBO Max streaming platform in the US.
