Three days after Dharmendra’s death, his wife and veteran actress Hema Malini shared her first public statement, expressing her profound grief. Posting on Twitter, she wrote, “Dharam ji… he was so much to me. A loving husband, a doting father to our two daughters, Esha and Ahana, a friend, a philosopher, a guide, a poet, the most important person to me in every difficult moment. Indeed, he was everything to me.”

She added that Dharmendra stood by her through every high and low, and that his warm and affectionate nature endeared him to everyone in the family. In her tribute, Hema Malini further said, “As a public figure, his immense talent, humility despite his popularity, and his universal appeal made him a unique figure among legends.
