Fortune seems to be totally grim for Kapil Sharma, for one after another trouble is blocking his way post is major fallout with Sunil Grover. The leading stars of his comedy show Sunil Grover, Chandra Prabhakar and Ali Asgar have refused to come to sets for shooting owing to the spat and Kapil’s arrogant behaviour.
However, another prominent face of Kapil’s show, Navjot Singh Sidhu may also have to quit the show. Mind you it has nothing to do with neither Kapil and Sunil’s fight nor Kapil’s arrogance. It is the newly-elected Punjab CM who has raised a question over Sidhu doing a television show. Sidhu had earlier switched his party from BJP to Congress prior to the Punjab elections.
Since, Congress won with clear majority, Capt. Amarinder Singh has been elected as the new CM while Sidhu has also been offered a minor ministry in the state government. But the CM is confused over his stint as a judge on the television show while being a government employee and thus is seeking legal opinion for the same.
Meanwhile, Sidhu is not willing to quit the show but is ready to agree whatever the CM says after considering legal advice. “Whatever Captain Amarinder Singh said, the boss is always right. But I want to tell you that the term office of profit only implies to a post held under government office. BJP MP and actor Kirron Kher works for television months together. I have quit IPL and nearly 70 to 80 per cent television assignments. I perform the government duties between 9 AM to 6 PM. If I go anywhere after 6 PM and return by 9 AM whatever I do at night should not be the business of anybody. Nobody should evince interest in it”, he said.
