Hair acts as an insulator for our body, but a person’s perfect look is affected by the growth of unwanted hair. The reasons for unwanted hair growth include irregular periods, hormonal imbalance, and usage of certain medications or due to pregnancy. Though there are several latest techniques such as waxing, laser hair removal, electrolysis, etc. available for unwanted hair removal, they are expensive and unaffordable to many women. There are many age old natural home remedies which are without any side effects and much cheaper than the methods used in the beauty clinics.
Egg mask: You need half tablespoon of corn flour, one tablespoon of sugar and one egg for this. Stir the ingredients to get a thick paste. Apply on your face and leave it on your face for 15 minutes till it is dry and then peel it off and repeat the task twice or thrice a week for best results.
Masoor dal and potato mask: Soak a bowl of dhal overnight. Potatoes have natural bleach properties in them. The combination of these two items will help in making the hair color lighter. It is an Ayurvedic process to get rid of the hair on the face and other parts of the body. Grind the lentils and add mashed potatoes to it and apply it to the required parts of your face and rinse it off when it gets dry.
Sugar, Honey and Lemon Mixture: Sugar mixed with water, lemon and honey acts like wax and is very effective in removing unwanted hair. In a small bowl, take 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey and mix them well. Heat this mixture for three minutes in a vessel to make it a smooth, free flowing paste and cool it. Clean the body parts where you need to apply this mixture and then dust it with cornstarch or all purpose flour. Use the waxing spatula and apply the mixture on the areas of unwanted hair in the direction of the hair growth and cover it with a cloth or waxing strips and press to make it stick on the paste. Pull the strip in the opposite direction if your hair growth to effectively remove unwanted hair.
Alum Rosewater Treatment: Add 2/3 tablespoons of rose water to ½ teaspoon of alum powder (phitakiree) in a small bowl. Take a cotton ball and dip it in the mixture. Apply this mixture on the required areas and allow it to sit there till it is completely dry. Apply the rose water and alum powder mixture once again .Repeat this process for an hour. Wash it off completely and then dab some sesame oil or olive oil to moisturize the area.
Banana and Oatmeal Scrub: Banana, when mixed with a not so smooth ingredient, oatmeal will help in exfoliating your skin. The banana helps in softening your skin and oatmeal acts as the skin’s cleanser. Take a ripe banana and mash it well. To this may be added a couple of teaspoons of oatmeal. Mix it well. Apply this paste liberally on unwanted hairs and then rub it in circular motion. Let this paste remain on that area for 15 to 20 minutes before washing it off with water to remove the paste completely.
Raw Papaya and turmeric powder: This remedy is suitable for all skin types including those with sensitive skin. Cut the peeled papaya into little pieces and grind it into fine paste; Mix together 2 tablespoons full of this paste with ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder; Massage the skin with this mixture for about 15-20 minutes and later wash it with water. Repeat it twice or thrice a week for obtaining results.
Turmeric and rose water: Turmeric not only has antibacterial and antiseptic properties but also helps in preventing the growth of hair. Soak turmeric powder in sufficient quantity of rose water, milk or water to obtain a smooth paste that may be applied over the face. Wait until dry and wash off the paste with warm water after 20 minutes.Comebacktomorrow
